As a graduate student in Linguistics, I asked questions about how cognitive, social, and linguistic factors shape language use and understanding. I used a range of quantitative and qualitative methods (e.g., web-based experiments, analyses of corpora, one-to-one interviews) on a number of different research projects. I advised undergraduates in Linguistics conducting their own research. I helped students refine their research questions and introduced them to relevant methodologies and theoretical literature.

I designed and facilitated a course in which Linguistics undergraduates learnt about different research areas and methodologies, and learnt how to develop their own research proposal.

I taught seminars, developed class materials, and gave guest lectures in three undergraduate courses (Language Acquisition; Language of Advertising; Introduction to Linguistics).
