However, the public’s perceptions of air quality are lacking even though more and more air quality data are being collected by a growing variety of institutions and civic organizations as a result of lower cost air sensors and increased attention to local-scale air monitoring. Efforts to collect and manage these data are underway, but are fragmented. Also, government and organizations have made efforts to develop many accessible air monitoring platforms to provide the public with easy access to national air quality information. So Air Data Collaborative which I join has compared many air monitoring data and platforms to check their scopes and gaps but noticed there is still the absence of effective platform to communicate air quality measurements. The existence of a data sharing platform that effectively visualizes and communicates the measurements will get more people on board with fight pollution. Show less
