I went back to Colombia to make part of the strategic planning team in McCann Bogotá. I learned tons about the advertising business in Colombia, being McCann the first big traditional agency I had ever worked at. It was my first time working in strategic planning and I very much enjoyed the research part of it, everything that came with putting together data about the markets, consumers and their online behaviours or online marketing trends and to present everything in context in an advertising plan that would mark the path for the creative team. My goal was to help build digital-oriented strategies, and I did so for 90% of the clients.
