Senior Market Analyst at Trade NationWe launched Trade Nation in the summer of 2020, replacing the various Core Spreads brands. It has proved to be a great success, with our emphasis on customer service and low fixed spreads across a wide range of financial markets. I've been busy helping to update our customers about the financial markets through blogs and my Market Snapshots on the @itstradenation Twitter feed. I have also produced a block of educational videos which can be found on our 'itstradenation' YouTube account. From December 2017 to March 2019 I was the Senior Market Analyst at GKFX. My role was to build value and growth through customer acquisition and retention via daily market commentaries, webinars, seminars, trade exhibitions and by gaining exposure for GKFX through the financial media. I provided in-depth, fundamental research together with actionable technical analysis for our customers via daily market reports. I hosted webinars and seminars to teach the mechanics of spread betting and CFDs, while explaining trading strategies and analysing the latest fundamental outlook. I provided commentary for the financial media and appeared regularly on Bloomberg Turkey and TRT World. I have also been interviewed on Reuters, Sky and ABC TV.Previously I worked as the Senior Market Strategist at Spread Co and GFT. I also ran a consultancy where I undertook numerous projects for companies in the retail derivatives sector. I produced the original business plan for the spread betting start up at MF Global (formerly Man Financial). I developed the new business from inception; building the team – IT, operations, sales and trading. I produced the original sales and marketing material. I had overall responsibility for customer acquisition and retention. I was responsible for: maximising profitability of the division; managing a team of eight sales traders; liaising with and linking to other business areas: CFDs, FX and futures. I made regular presentations at seminars, exhibitions and round-table forums, made media appearances and published articles covering financial products, market fundamentals and technical analysis.
