I am a highly confident, adaptable individual with a wealth of experience in the field of crime and the analysis and academic research of crime & justice related issues. I completed a successful 30 year career in an English Police Force in 2008 with a total of 8 commendations and awards, 3 of which were received from the High Sherriff and two from senior Crown Court Judges. In 2008 I commenced my current career in Higher Education and am now a Senior Lecturer and active academic researcher in the Geography & Environmental Sciences Department of Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, England. I am an accredited project manager and currently the academic lead investigator in research projects. My interests lie in; the spatial analysis of offender behaviour patterns, Night Time Economy, Food Security and the Geography of Crime. I have presented at a variety of international academic & practitioner conferences, contributed to an edited book and published a number of articles in high profile academic journals.My personal and career experience has engendered within me the ability to lead and plan, understand the requirements and philosophies of quality assurance and to coordinate activity to the best effect. I also have a strong sense of personal responsibility.
