Was the leader of the transition of the Ally Data Platform organization , and trained over twenty (20) legacy Big Data engineers on what was needed to shift left , in the move to the Ally public cloud. This was done without any additional time or budget , and my team was able to move some of our Analytics and Data Science teams to the cloud in less than six months. The program that was delivered has won multiple industry awards , and is one of the benchmark deliverables in the last 3 years for Ally.Responsible for the design and creation of our DevSecOps pipeline, which have enabled Ally to move over 500TB of data into AWS in a safe and reliable manner. This has allowed the establishment of the Ally Enterprise Data Lake , and the population of our Snowflake environment , which has enabled our analytic and data engineering users to onboard into the Ally public cloud in a compressed amount of time. This alone has realized revenue gains for the company in the tens of millions of dollars.Designed and implemented a custom Kerberos enabled AWS EMR module using custom code in Terraform. This deliverable alone has allowed our Ally Financial Data Science teams to run complex Spark workloads in the cloud in an ephemeral and secure manner. This deliverable has saved Ally tens of millions of dollars, and allowed Ally to stay in compliance with many mandates with the Federal Government.Custom designed an Apache open source tool for all ETL needs in the Ally Public Cloud. This ETL tool is now used across all organizations in Ally , and our code has been forked multiple times by other teams that have leveraged our custom builds and automated DevSecOps pipelines. Leveraging the open source model has saved millions of dollars , since Ally did not need to pay for vendor licensing and support. This deliverable has been called out by executive leadership in Ally , as a glowing example of how open source should be used going forward.

Lead infrastructure architect for streaming application,  which processed over one million messages per second real time, and was used to map to an ML/ AI driven backend at Google Cloud. Implemented the core foundation pieces of the Kohls Big Data DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering programs.  Lead security architect for converting Kohls Big Data assets into a secure platform for PCI and PII compliance. Started Kohls Big Data  performance team, and was responsible for mapping out the tools and the platforms needed to test large data sets and jobs in both the Google Cloud and on-prem.Contributor on initial Big Data Team for Kohls when the program was kicked off internally.

Lead Systems Administrator for Single Sign On platform at Wachovia. Responsible for tuning , availability and disaster recovery of applications. Developed many standards for Wachovia , including security requirements and infrastructure planning around Web Sphere, IIS, MQ , Jboss, and Sun One software installation and tuning requirements.Technical escalation for applications on team including www.wachovia.com, the internet SSO Authentication and Navigation piece, and the MQ Series hotels in the DMZ. Worked with Corporate Information Security Group on rolling out extranet application areas, including Check 21, which shared information between the leading banks
