Responsible for operational efficiencies of Ideaca’s regional offices of Western Canada: Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.

Reporting to the President of Ideaca I am presently accountability for the leadership around Ideaca’s sales and delivery for our six lines of business in Alberta. Working with over 120 employees I set the strategies and processes for engagement on key projects.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and to the Associate VP Research and Director, Research Services I was responsible for the short and long-term planning, development and evaluation of a comprehensive integrated revenue generating plan (fundraising and sponsorship) in support of the institution’s research mandate. Work entails working with the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Networks of Centers of Excellence (NCE), other Federal Canadian Government agencies and the Province of Alberta funding agencies to leverage these funds to solicit partners within the corporate community.

Reporting to the Dean of Continuing Education, I liaise with over 100 corporate sponsors to aid in the progressive design, development, and delivery of the learning and development programs required to support OOST’s strategic objectives. During my tenure, roles revolved around the following:• Create and manage the infrastructure for learning and development initiatives including all policies and communication materials for decentralized management administration; • Provide leadership in recommending and implementing strategies and tactics to support learning & development analysis, design, development, delivery and assessment with industry partners; • Provide consultative support to managers on program initiatives to ensure that skill/knowledge needs are addressed effectively;• Manage ongoing assessment of relevance and currency of existing core competency model; and • Develop and manage relationships with appropriate external consultants;
