About David Kirk

I am Professor of Human-Centred Design in the School of Computing at Newcastle University, and Director of Open Lab (Newcastle's Human-Computer Interaction and Ubiquitous computing research group). My work largely focuses on Digital Innovation and Human-Centred Design for interactive technologies and services. I have extensive experience of leading user research and design, have a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, and have worked in both academic and industrial research labs. In addition to my academic work I also consult for corporate clients.Specialties: Digital Futures, Human-Centred Design, UX, Interaction Design, HCI, User Research, Service Design, Ethnography, Qualitative and Quantitative research methods
