Managed a large, diverse product portfolio and engineering team that supported key business units including personal lending, enterprise CRM, and lead management. Provided architectural vision and guidance across the mello platform leading to the adoption of a microservice based strategy and the delivery of the company’s first mobile application. Built a successful engineering team to drive and deliver key technology initiatives.

Assisted the CEO in technical due diligence and product strategy to best position the company for an exit, leading to one term sheet and two revenue building partnerships each exceeding a revenue guarantee of 100k year.

Grew HomDNA from a concept to a viable business with over 20 employees, receiving 6M over 4 rounds of funding. As the founding employee, I hired and built out the engineering and product teams, built the production cloud operations, APIs, and architected our mobile application currently available in both the Apple and Google app stores. In addition, I served as part of the Office of the CTO in SteelVentures (parent holding company) defining and rolling out standards and processes, and actively participated in hiring across four companies.

As a part of the Office of the CTO, I defined and helped build the common cloud SaaS platform that served as the foundation for the Rapid7 suite of products. During my tenure, I drove overall SaaS platform growth organically by creating new products and through acquisition. I also held technical leadership roles on multiple products in the Rapid7 portfolio, including the existing, flagship Nexpose product.

Co-architected a Ruby on Rails application in the cloud that monitors and adjusts prices in real time for online retail stores. The application managed pricing for over 70 e-commerce retail stores. Project was accepted by the NYC SeedStart enterprise accelerator.

Technical team lead on the flagship product iRise Studio. Led the effort to design and implement the iBloc platform (patent pending), which was pivotal in transforming Studio from a product to a platform for rapid prototyping.

Technical leader on Borland StarTeam web client (JEE). Led the effort from inception to implementation, including designing architecture, object model, and user interface definition.

Lead architect and primary developer on the ReleasePlan web application. Responsible for creating requirements, high level design, implementation, and testing.

Senior engineer on Borland StarTeam Java and .NET clients involved in all aspects of the development process including high-level design, implementation, and automated testing.
