I work with children ranging from infant to young adult, maintaining a professional, inviting environment for both the patient and their family. My responsibilities as a medical assistant include rooming, collecting a wide range of vital signs, administering immunizations, collecting and drawing up blood samples, running labs, and having a strong ability to chart and navigate medical records via the EPIC platform. Through this role I have broadened my understanding of acute care in the pediatric setting, maintained interpersonal relationships with providers and fellow healthcare professionals, and increased my proficiency in hands-on patient care at the most direct level.
