Working with multi agency partners to support and develop safeguarding services for children

Establishing constructive, collaborative working relationships with partner agencies across Kingston & Richmond and identifying the safeguarding learning and development needs of the local children’s workforce. Designing, commissioning and delivering high-quality cost-effective safeguarding professional development opportunities that reflect the national and local safeguarding agenda. Transforming the Kingston and Richmond Safeguarding Childrens Partnership multi- agency training programme, by developing and delivering creative, flexible and innovative learning opportunities. During 2018-19, 107 face to face learning events held with a total of 1,755 people attending and 4 multi- agency safeguarding conferences on safeguarding topics such as Neglect and Contextual Safeguarding with up to 200 practitioners attending each event. Ensuring that the training provided supports the delivery of effective, professional, integrated and innovative services to children, young people and their families. Management of Safeguarding Partnership team members and the training budget. Collation and analysis of data, production of reports, dissemination of research and learning from reviews and regular presentations to a range of audiences including senior managers. Undertaking scrutiny and quality assurance exercises with partners to assess practice. Supporting the work of the Safeguarding Partnership Professional Advisor and deputising in her absence.

Director of a national safeguarding training and consultancy organisation, developing & delivering innovative training opportunities for children’s services practitioners across England, Wales and Scotland. Responsible for managing all training contracts and relationships with customers in 90% of local authorities across the country.
