CurrentAs the on-site lead for the Android track at Ikano Bank, I oversee the development and architecture of critical digital offerings, delivering technical excellence and fostering cross-functional alignment.Key Responsibilities and AchievementsArchitectural Leadership- Core architect for the Android track, employing MVVM to build modular, reusable, and testable components.- Sucessfully integrated Google Pay SDK using a scalable, modular approach for seamless multi-screen expansion with extensive collaboration with Mastercard and NexiCI/CD Pipeline Optimization- Re-architected GitHub Actions pipelines, introducing pull request testing to maintain a stable, deployable codebase.- Developed reusable workflows hosted in a dedicated CI repository, streamlining builds, deployments, and tests.- Enhanced processes to support 9 build types (3 environments for 3 products), automating deployments to Firebase and Sauce Labs.Cross-Functional Collaboration- Engage with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and architects to align backend changes with frontend needs.- Work closely with UX teams to integrate Figma designs into native components, ensuring performance and consistency.- Partner with analytics to execute ahead of sprint reviews of analytics requirements to ensure correctness of implementation planLeadership and Agile Practices- Lead the Android track’s Agile planning, ensuring feature breakdowns, sprint alignment, and dependency management.- Conduct pre-code reviews to refine implementation approaches, improving review efficiency and reducing delays.Legacy System Enhancements- Maintain and enhance OkHttp-based networking systems, including restructured Curity HAAPI integration for single responsibility.- Extend Dagger 2 implementations while evaluating migration paths to Hilt.I continue to lead Android development initiatives, drive architectural innovation, and foster collaborations that align with strategic objectives.
