I started my professional life at an early age working as a lawn care specialist at my Granddad’s landscaping company Kendal and Son. My brothers and I made our weekly allowance cutting grass, trimming trees and providing great customer service. My Granddad taught me the secret for a successful business, “If the customer isn’t happy then your not getting paid.” I work with my Granddad until I enrolled at Brevard College to pursue a Degree in Music.At Brevard I entered as a Percussion Major. Early in college I learned the four-mallet technique, the essentials of jazz, rock, trap drumming, and how much I truly loved to sing. After my freshman year, I switched my instrumental focus to vocals and completed my final years at Brevard doing something I really loved and had a passion for. During my four years at Brevard College, I passed piano proficiency, performed in more than three ensembles, and performed solo repertoire every semester. I did all this while working as a student ambassador, selling the college to prospective students and families. In addition to my busy academic schedule, I participated on the Cheerleading Team, Track Team and founded and coordinated Brevard College’s first Student Diversity Pride Club. The Club successful organized three Queer Pride Festivals that had wide participation from the student body and the surrounding community. As a young African American gay youth, who came out to his family and community in High School, I learned a lot about the importance of courage and being true to yourself. When I graduated from College, I look forward to getting more into movement performance. I auditioned for Disney's College Internship Program and was lucky enough to be accepted into a one of a kind experience that only Disney could provide. I learned a great deal about teamwork and stellar customer service being the Character Goofy and performing in the “Once Upon a Christmas Parade.” During the Internship Program I loved making Magic for thousands of guests. After my Internship ended, I switched over to being a seasonal performer. However, my time at Disney would end with Covid-19 forcing me to relocate. I now live in Sacramento, California with my partner. I have been working for Tesla Motor Company, but the two hours commute from home in Fremont, CA has become impractical. Today, I am looking for a job that is the right pay for a hard worker, not too far from home, and most importantly a career that is impactful to someone else's day.
