Beverly Hospital's emergency department is a Level III Trauma Center, Designated Stroke Center and provides cardiac catheterization for STEMI's; it cares for approximately 50k patients annually with an excellent staff of doctors, nurses and physician assistants. I work primarily in the acute division managing adult patients across the spectrum of presenting complaints; perform patient assessments; order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies; formulate diagnoses and treatment plans including immediate interventions, specialty consultations, admissions or outpatient follow up; review and prescribe medications; perform procedures including suturing and splinting; maintain appropriate charting and notes; provide patient education; and work as a part of a team to provide the best care possible.
