I started in the plumbing trade in 1982 and founded TLC Plumbing & Utility in 1987. With a work truck, a handful of customers, and a few tools, I set out on my own to serve my customers the best way I could.That was 35 years ago and TLC has grown from a one-man shop into a thriving company that employs over 600 people who live and work in New Mexico. TLC’s success comes from our core values of Hard Work, Honesty, Respect, Compassion, and Consistency. We keep our commitments and work hard to only hire the Top 5% of the workforce. We provide a wide range of services from residential and commercial plumbing, heating, cooling, electrical, industrial plant construction, and civil construction services.My role as CEO at TLC Plumbing & Utility is to remove roadblocks for the team. Because of our focus on working with the Top 5%, it allows for us to clear a path for our employees and let them do what they do best. Success isn’t just about vision and strategy; it’s about people. I like to say that: “TLC isn’t a plumbing company. It’s a people company!”People often ask me what my big vision was for TLC, being a native New Mexican and a member of the trades, I was given a front row seat at understanding and addressing the needs of the community. Honoring a commitment to provide quality services as well as listen with genuine concern to the customers’ interests by doing the right things for the right reasons. If you focus on taking care of people success follows.Outside of TLC, you might find me out in rural western New Mexico on our family ranch in Magdalena with my incredible wife Gail and a grandkid or two in tow.
