My areas of focus as a crime reporter include gun violence, police accountability and human trafficking. For the cannabis beat, I focus on regulations, cultivation, retail sales and the illicit market.

Working as a member of the Free Press web team, I'm responsible for online content for the Free Press, as well as our five sister papers: The Sarnia Observer, the Chatham Daily News, the St. Thomas-Times Journal, the Stratford Beacon Herald and the Woodstock Sentinel-Review. My main responsibility is packaging content -- writing headlines, editing photos.

The Fiji Daily Post, 2009 - 2010As the recipient of the International Development Research Centre Journalism Award, I traveled to Suva, Fiji, to work as a reporter and write about Canadian nation building initiatives in a developing country. In addition to my reporting duties, I wrote sections and contributed photographs to a journalism training manual.

Working as a multimedia reporter, I covering local news in the Sarnia-Lambton region. In addition to writing stories I also took photographs, shot and cut video, wrote columns, created video blogs and updated the newspaper's website, www.theobserver.ca.
