Quoin Island Turtle Rehabilitation Centre is focused on caring for sick and injured sea turtle with the intent of re-release into the wild.My role was of a voluntary animal carer with the addition of some facility upkeep and maintenance. After completion of my 3 month tender i was offer some further paid maintenance.An unbelievable opportunity to work so closely with such beautiful animals and feel like you are making a difference in their lives!

TRACC (Tropical Research and Conservation Centre) is an ngo focused on restoring the reef in the area surrounding Pom Pom Island in Sabah, Malaysia after extensive bomb fishing has all but destroyed it. They also assist in conservation of the surrounding reef in the area, education and engagement of both volunteers and local communities. My primary role was advising scientists of structural theory plus Project Managing artificial reef construction and deployment. Among other constructing and facility improvement initiatives around camp.I also assisted in the development of TRACC's website and digital graphics including a new shirt design.The experience in its entirety has been truly inspirational in developing a desire to seek more environmental volunteer opportunities in the future.
