I have spent my entire career in various aspects of the electrical field. As an Electrician in the Naval Nuclear Power program, I learned the fundamentals of electrical theory to advanced troubleshooting and fault analysis in a demanding nuclear reactor environment. I also learned the importance of redundancy (N+1 philosophy) and attention to detail. I continued to learn about different electrical systems as a maintenance electrician at a steel foundry [Keystone Steel & Wire] and Hazardous (classified) Locations [MGP Ingredients]. I learned the details and important variables for fully automated generator controls [Enercon Engineering] where I performed generator testing, switchgear testing, quality control and Electrical Engineering. I continued in custom switchgear manufacturing [Industrial Electric Manufacturing], designing switchboards & switchgear to EUSERC, UL and ANSI standards. My latest role as Project Manager promises to be most challenging and rewarding as I join a very talented and technical Rotary UPS team. With three (3) decades in this field, I will continue to serve the electrical community, always willing to learn something new.
