Responsible for the planning, deployment, and tactical employment of ground reconnaissance units in order to collect, analyze and evaluate intelligence. This includes making estimates of the operational situation as well as formulating, coordinating, executing appropriate plans for offensive/defensive maneuver, reconnaissance, and fire support.
