Curriculum Vitae2000-CURRENTSeeking to break with the intensity of urban life to find solace and focus, Dale established a new life as an artist working half of the year from his studio, DMSI (Dale Mathis Studio Inc.) in the Philippines. The idyllic environment, people, culture and love of art have embraced him as much as he has embraced them.Dale’s artwork is in private collections in London, Italy, France, Russia, Turkey, Brazil, Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, India and Mexico. As of 2011, Dale is represented by 13 galleries throughout the United States, the Philippines, India, Australia and France. Dale’s work has been seen on MTV’s Cribs and The Real World Las Vegas, HGTV’s Crafters Coast to Coast, Philippine Networks GMA and ABS-CBN. Features have been written in Playboy Magazine, the Las Vegas Review Journal, design magazines throughout Asia and international watch magazines in Europe and Latin America.1992-2000Relocated from California to Las Vegas, Dale worked in the contracting and construction industry. Focusing primarily on casino facade and themed works, Dale’s projects included, Guggenheim Museum, Hermitage Museum, The Venetian Hotel, The Rio Hotel Casino, The Desert Inn Hotel, MGM Grand, Stratus Sphere, Mandalay Bay Hotel and the City Center complex.EDUCATION1990 – 1991Electromechanical Design became Dale’s primary focus while he studied at Cerritos College, Cerritos California. Here he explored the complex world of incorporating high-performance components, circuits, and industrial automation. 1987 – 1990Dale studied Architecture and Drafting while attending Morningside High School in Inglewood California.
