Corporate executive responsible for all facility and machine readiness in a very busy advanced manufacturing start-up. Manages facilities across three states, four expansions, and all maintenance technicians. Designed and implemented a formal preventative maintenance program, CMMS system, work order system, team training, and communication plans. Located and purchased all special tools, standard tools, machinery, and related equipment needed to open a world class training center. Designed facility laboratory and classroom layout, including where to place each machine based on syllabus. Once construction was completed, scheduled all equipment to set in place, wired, plumbed, and operational. Moved all tooling in place and ensured class would run as designed. Set up all remaining items needed for students and instructors.

Instructor for the Manufacturing Apprenticeship Center. Teaching students all aspects of manufacturing apprentice safely. Blocks of instruction include: CNC Machining, manual machining, Blueprints, precision measurement, fabrication, sheet metal, layouts, etc.

Facilitated a safe and educational environment for engineering Cadets. Assisted with the instruction of the following courses: HVAC, Hydraulics, Intro to Mechanical Engineering Design, CAPSTONE, and Machine Design. Worked with CNC machines, 3D printers, 3D scanners, Computer Aided Design software, and Computer Aided Manufacturing software.

Managed the scheduling of all routine maintenance and emergency repairs of all CG small boats in the Great Lakes Region. Managed travel budgets, commercial repair budgets, and inspections. Served as a level II Contracting Officers Representative, NACE coatings inspector, and the Coast Guard’s representative to civilian contractors and commercial shipyards throughout the Great Lakes Region.

Managed all aspects of the engineering department: budget, personnel, ship and small boat maintenance, emergency repairs, government vehicles, hazmat, and safety. Worked with active duty, government employees, and civilians to complete the mission and keep schedules intact. Led a crew of 35+ sailors through changing schedules, work/life balance issues, and hardships.
