President and majority owner of a mid sized architectural firm located in the renovated attic of the old Post Office Building in downtown Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Graduate of Temple University with a BS in Architecture and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts and Theological Studies. Cornerstone’s most frequent project types are churches, private education and senior living. Other project types are multi-housing, auditoriums, recreation / community centers (multiple YMCA projects), healthcare, offices and a variety of other commercial, institutional and industrial projects. Our mission is to “Responsively and creatively designing facilities of significance.” Significance is defined by the client and our role is to be responsive to their needs and find creative solutions.Notable design projects are Lancaster Mennonite School's Fine Arts Center and more recently, Rutt Academic Center; former Bank of Lancaster Co. (now PNC) Corporate Headquarters; Horst Group Headquarters; American Music Theatre; Christian Life Assembly 2,000 plus seat sanctuary; Adaptive Re-use for James Street Mennonite Church; and adaptive re-use of the attic of the former Lancaster Post Office Building for Cornerstone's office space.Initially employed by W. M. Marsh Associates, the architectural firm that was an affiliate company of The Horst Group. Hired with the intent to buy Wilbur Marsh's 50% share (Horst Group owned the other 50% share). Actual stock transfer did not occur until 1997. Became General Manager in 1995 when firm's name was changed to Cornerstone Design- Architects and President several years later.

Dale Kaufman- Architect (1986-1989); Project Architect at High Industries / Greenfield Architects (1989-1994); Principal Architect at the Horst Group / Cornerstone Design- Architects (1994-2007: purchased 50% stock in 1997); Majority Owner & President for Cornerstone Design- Architects (purchase of Horst Group stock in April 2007- sold some stock to four minority partners).
