HIJ Jewellery is a family-run business with a large reputation; during my time with the company, Iaccomplished 3 years of solid bench experience along with my own range in a catalogue designed andmanufactured by myself.I also headed the project for the design and manufacture of the world's most expensive Christmasdecoration; this was originally trialled the year before with a simple £1,000 version, which was forpublicity and worked along with the actual item being sold after a prospective buyer saw an article in anational paper. The following year, in conjunction with other suppliers and setters, we sought laterpublicity and increased the £ value of the decoration to £ 82,000, gaining us coverage as far as Russia.During my time with HIJ Jewellery, I studied and completed several courses at the Sir John Cass Institutein London, covering all aspects of metalwork/design, stone setting, engraving and stringing.
