Tasked with performing various duties that include structural and non-structural firefighting, fire prevention, hazardous materials incident mitigation, initial fire investigation, emergency medical response, accident response and extrication.• Respond to alarms, drive and operate equipment and related apparatus, and assist in the suppression of fires, including rescue, advancing lines, entry, ventilation and salvage work.• Participate in the coordination and operation of departmental in-service training activities.• Handle grievances from firefighters, as well as maintain departmental discipline and the conduct and general behavior of volunteer personnel.• Assign personnel and equipment; assist in maintaining and repairing fire apparatus and equipment.

Served in the infantry and deployed to the Gulf War. Amazing experience and would do it all over again!!
