I like to create a fun atmosphere when I'm working with people. I think when we go to our jobs, we see our co-workers more than we see our families so we should be having a good time. I like to share my mode of thinking with the people around me and I like learning new ways of thinking from others.I am a hands-on contributor with a tinkerer mindset. I was raised in a very poor community where fixing what we have instead of buying new things was imperative to survival and resulted in some hilarious solutions. This taught me how to reverse engineer and cross-pollinate ideas. I like using automation, robotics, sensors and actuators to bring a process to life. I started my career working nights as an electro-mechanical technician in a foundry in SC while simultaneously earning my degree during the day. I am very grateful for the opportunities I have been given in life and want to give back.Explore examples of my public work on my GitHub: github.com/dalethomas81.Top Skills: [Expert] Software design for automated equipment controls[Expert] Device driver design[Expert] Troubleshooting[Advanced] Robotics[Advanced] Software validation[Advanced] Communication protocol design[Intermediate] Motion controlTop Dev Environments:[Advanced] Visual Studio[Expert] TwinCAT, CoDeSys, Logix5000[Expert] ArduinoTop Languages:[Intermediate] C/C++, Python, C#, .NET, JavaScript, VB[Expert] IEC61131 (Structured Text)
