Directed an international IT staff of 85, located in Cleveland, Ohio; Brussels; Hong Kong and Dubai. Reported to the Director of Technology Technical Services (CIO).Key Responsibilities:• I&O organization: Network Engineering/Support, Network Operation Center, Host Management, Server-Engineering/Support, Storage/Management, Mobility-Engineering/Support, Desktop-Engineering/Support, Email Systems-Engineering/Support, Firm IT MAC team, and Regional teams in Brussels, Hong Kong and Dubai.• Managed 5 Data Center Hosting arrangements (Cleveland, Columbus, Ohio; Brussels, Hong Kong and Dubai)• Oversaw international redundant carrier services to all Jones Day offices worldwide (40 offices in total; 17 US, 10 Europe, 7 Asia, 4 Middle East, and 2 Latin America).• Controlled an annual budget of over $25M. • Directed all I&O projects and day to day IT management of the infrastructure and operations for engineering, support, and IT administration within each office and hosting centers. • Key Accomplishments: - Totally upgraded and updated the entire IT infrastructure, building a fully redundant environment throughout Jones Day firm wide, significantly improving customers user experience with positive cost/value benefits. - Created 5 Data Center Hosting arrangements, 2 US, 1 Europe, 1 Middle East and 1 Asia to service the global expansion of the firm and provide disaster recovery capability. - Directed 5 Data Center relocation projects, on time and on budget. - Managed IT infrastructure build-out for 27 firm office relocations, or new office implementations. - Led creation of fully redundant carrier service to all firm offices to allow for uninterrupted servicing of the customer and their clients . - Implemented global VoIP solution throughout the organization. - Led global project that successfully upgraded to Windows 7 platform to all firm lawyers .
