Profile bio

About Dale Thorne

I should have updated my profile some months ago, when I informally retired from the life of an IT professional. Now that I am comfortable in not getting up early in the morning and commuting to work or answering some emergency call in the middle of the night, all of which did not take much to get use to, it is time to say 'I am retired'. So, now I am enjoying the good life of leisure, with some fun travel thrown in, with my very lovely wife, Lynne. My thanks to all who I have had the privilege to be associated with throughout my professional career. I have great memories and fondness for so many people. I hope I made an impression that counted, as I always tried to be fair to all, while managing large organizations or complex projects to deliver top quality results. It has been a great ride and also a long one, being in IT for over 45 years.Just for the fun of it, I am leaving the rest of my professional summary intact, in case there is someone out there that could use the help of a very 'experienced' and 'seasoned' IT leader. Information Technology Executive, with global experience, a unique expertise and talent managing organizations to deliver outstanding effective and efficient IT solutions and services. Proven ability to creatively manage IT costs under all economic climates while raising technology value and improving customer satisfaction. Excellent leadership skills with keen understanding of cultural and human factors, with global staffing experience. Builder of process and results-driven, customer oriented organizations, including setting strategic IT direction and delivery of outstanding services.

Listed skills include Java, Outsourcing, Active Directory, It Management, and 38 others.
