Managed the DOL funded Wisconsin Performance Assessment of Skills Standards (WISPASS) and all aspects of statewide skill certification initiative duties include: establish Manufacturing Skill Standards Certification (MSSC) certification and test and assessment centers; curricula and pre-assessments development: marketing to business, labor, and secondary students; recruiting business participants; state coordination of technical college representatives; webpage, marketing materials, and newsletter production; supervise three other staff; budgeting and grant management; authored and managed additional external grants and 38.14 contracts for project; professional development for faculty; manage external advisory committee; promote manufacturing careers; managed $440K budget; managed eight subcontract agreements with WTCS Technical Colleges; and directed project evaluation; and completed Department of Labor grant compliance and reporting requirements.

Managed National Science Foundation's 21st Century Technical Education Project. Activities included: managed five taskforces (Curricula Alignment, Diversity, Marketing and Recruitment, Partnerships, Professional Development) that implemented best practices school reform strategies; preparing and recruiting students to pursue technical careers; established professional development programs for (50) faculty; alignment curriculum between secondary and post secondary institutions; supervised a staff of four; grant development, budgeting and contract management of two NSF grants of $2 million.

Responsible for technology transfer and training facility; sold machine use time to local small and medium sized machine tool businesses; market training and engineering consulting services to area businesses; education programming to business for technology center; secured additional grant and foundation funding; market research and fund development; and managed $1.5K budget. This project was a partnership between Johnson Control, Fraunhofer Engineering of Germany, Northeast Milwaukee Industrial Development Corporation, State of Wisconsin and Milwaukee Area Technical College. Supervised a staff four engineers.

Managing economic development technical assistance for local community development corporations. Other activities include: group facilitation and strategic planning; grant writing; event and conference planner; and supervising (5) graduate students interns. Directed research on public policy issues such as business feasibility studies, light rail transit, and local community development plans, and economic development resource directory.

Manage and run all facets of the small business incubator program. Activities include: business plan development; leasing and marketing manufacturing space; signing leasing agreements; small business education programs; running business services center; business networking programs; grant development; marketing and advertising for facility. Supervised a staff of three.
