At the onset of COVID 19, my family's business imported In-Vitro nucleic test kits from South Korea. Our mission was to be good corporate citizens and help the public as much as we can. My role was to find, donate, and distribute these test kits across the United States to Labs in need. I led the entire project through communicating with Coronavirus Task Force at Whitehouse/ FEMA, prospecting labs, contacting hospitals, and shipping the test kits in dry ice. This was an exciting achievement as we found a lab in Los Angeles, which we were able to help during the initial surge. It was a great learning experience for me, as I gained experience cold calling, had some exposure to FEMA’s operation, and experienced decision-making processes from large hospitals.
