Throughout my time in the Biorobots lab I worked towards transferring the neural network for the robot and any other necessary software, frameworks, and dependencies from a working Windows deployment to a specialized micro controller with a modified Linux distribution. The end goal of this project was allowing the robot to be deployed on location, as opposed to needing to run tethered to a PC. My personal responsibilities included custom fabricating circuits, 3D modelling and rapid prototyping, modifying existing software, creating bespoke plugins, and communicating with professionals from multiple fields and industries to source information and custom software patches
