CurrentFAST-41/offshore wind coordinator. Conduct inter- and intra-agency coordination to ensure compliance with requirements of FAST-41 develop guidance, and provide training to internal staff on these requirements. Develop and present briefing materials to senior leadership. Process incidental take authorizations (ITA) requests pursuant to Section 101(a)(5) of the MMPA and in conformance with NMFS' policies, including: reviewing applications; coordinating with applicants; conducting analyses; responding to public comments; and drafting all necessary documents.Evaluate, conduct, and draft national Environmental Policy Act analyses.Critically analyze scientific literature, agency documents, and other applicable information to assess impacts of activities on marine mammals and develop/evaluate mitigation and monitoring to support agency findings under the MMPA, and ensure compliance with Section 7 of the ESA, NEPA, the National Marine Sanctuaries Act, the Administrative Procedures Act, and other applicable statutes.Communicate program policies, requirements, and issues to the public and other Federal Agencies, as well as to other NOAA programs and leadership.Assist Division Chief by providing leadership in Incidental Take Program planning, monitoring, improvement, and policy development, including QA/QC, oversight of designated sub-programs, and synergy/integration with Scientific Research and Enhancement Permit Program actions.
