Founded in 1878, Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut is a humanitarian and not-for-profit association that offers academic excellence, secures preventive and curative healthcare services and addresses the community’s social and cultural needs without any discrimination based on gender, religion or national origin.

Kulluna Irada is an advocacy group committed to political reform in Lebanon. It believes it can set the foundations of a modern, secure, efficient, sustainable and just state through strong and fair governance. The group is financed exclusively by its members: Lebanese citizens residents and members of the diaspora who want to bring positive change to their country.

The Centre for Lebanese Studies (CLS), founded in 1984, is an independent academic research institution whose purpose is to promote international understanding of Lebanon and to help find solutions for its problems. Through research into the political, social, educational, historical, economic, and cultural issues of Lebanon, the Centre also provides support and information for governments and international institutions in the formulation of their Lebanese and Middle East policies.

Established in 1978, Human Rights Watch is a non-profit, non-governmental human rights organisation known for its accurate fact-finding, impartial reporting, effective use of media, and targeted advocacy, often in partnership with local human rights groups. Each year, Human Rights Watch publishes more than 100 reports and briefings on human rights conditions in some 90 countries, generating extensive coverage in local and international media. Human Rights Watch meets with governments, the United Nations, regional groups like the African Union and the EU, financial institutions, and corporations to press for changes in policy and practice that promote human rights and justice around the world.

The Khalidi Library (Al Khalidiyya), established in Jerusalem in 1900 by Haj Raghib al Khalidi, is the first Arab public library established by private initiative in Palestine. The Khalidiyya contains the largest private collection of Arabic manuscripts in Palestine and one of the largest such collections in the world. The Khalidiyya MS holdings contain approximately 1200 titles, the oldest of which is about 1000 years old, while its printed collection, mostly of 19th century vintage, contain around 5,500 volumes. In addition there is a massive archival corpus of family papers going back to the early 18th Century.

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars programme is Stanford University’s multidisciplinary post-graduate scholarship focused on preparing the next generation of leaders to address the complex challenges facing the world.

The St Peter’s College Foundation is a separate charitable body to that of the College, working independently of the College’s office of Development and Alumni relations – though with its close participation. It was set up in 2005 by a group of alumni with its primary focus being to invest in people as opposed to buildings and infrastructure.

The independent publishing house is based in London and co-founded with Dr. Abd al-Rahman Azzam. Our aim is to make the Islamic and Eastern worlds more accessible to people of all faiths, bridging the gap between the East and Western worlds. Our work was considered pioneering with no political or Islamic affiliations.

The British Lebanese Association (BLA) was established in 1984 to encourage friendship and understanding between the people of Great Britain and Lebanon and to advance and encourage cultural development between the two countries. The BLA Scholarship Fund, established in 1995, is the Association’s highest profile charitable project and has supported many young Lebanese to pursue postgraduate studies in the UK and take advantage of an opportunity to acquire skills and experiences not available in Lebanon.
