Study of human immune cell mechanisms of graft injury in antibody-mediated chronic renal rejection.

I studied the immunomodulatory functions of mTOR complexes in dendritic cells and their impact on allograft rejection in mice models, and participating in a study that aims to assess the function of adoptive tolerogenic dendritic cell transfer in the rhesus renal transplant model.

The thesis title is "Generation of tolerogenic monocyte-derived dendritic cells for cellular therapy in multiple sclerosis patients". The project aims at setting up the procedure to obtain tolerogenic dendritic cells as a cellular product for an antigen-specific cellular therapy in relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis patients, with the objective to restore the immunological tolerance in these patients.
