Support the Realizing the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in Lao P.D.R – Consolidated UNDP Programme of Support to MPI for Achievement of the Valuable Goals of the 7th NSEDP 2011-2015Support to Advancing Human Development through Policy-Informing Research on Human Development Issues especially Relevant for Achieving NSEDP/MDGs (Component 4)Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist the Component Manager with the design of strategies, work plans (including yearly and quarterly) for component as well as programme implementation, and progress reports;- Act as a liaison point between the component team, government agencies concerned and UNDP for the timely design and implementation of the component;- Assist the Manager and TA with the preparation of meetings, workshops, training programmes, technical discussion papers and relevant documents;- Advise in substantive terms on planning with respect to experts and consultants mission;- Provide input to the Component Manager on follow up actions required for the successful implementation of component activities on a day-to-day basis;- Assist the team in strengthening their understanding and ability to develop programme financial, planning and administrative procedures consistent with the principles of results based management;- Set up and maintain programme files in a systematic manner;- Provide necessary translation and interpretation (Lao-English and vice versa);- Perform other coordination related duties as required by the respective component.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Coordinate with potential listed companies and government officials; especially, the Lao Stock Market (LSX), Bank of Laos, Securities Exchange Commission Office (SECO), Ministries of Planning and Investment, Commerce and Finance and related government institutions in Laos and in Korea (IBK Securities Company) to prepare official documents, proposals, arrange meetings and deliver presentation for establishing the newly joint venture securities company in Laos and also for Korean Investors (Fund Managers, Hedge Fund Managers, Analysts and etc.) seeking investments opportunities in Laos;- Review and obtain deep insight on Lao Law, Foreign Investment and other Laws in relation to Securities Business Operation and establishing new businesses, merging and acquiring other businesses in the Lao P.D.R;- Edit, update and make proposals for Potential Listed Companies and Potential Strategic Partner Internally and Internationally, Feasibility Studies, Article of Association, Economic Indicators and reports on Securities related issues with translation to Lao;- Research and make report on other industries under KOLAO Group such as Farm, Electricity Distribution, Automobile industries both internally and internationally;- Train new staffs on securities business and related issue;- Attend seminars organized by Thailand Securities Institute (TSI), World Bank and ADB, LSX etc.
