Over the last 15 years, I have observed costly disposal errors impact companies, due to a lack of knowledge about waste disposal/injection. The “one size fits all approach” that our industry has adopted has failed to produce sustainable profitability and I want to change that. Currently, I help clients avoid the costly missteps of creating reservoir damage downhole that can not easily be repaired and help improve the process at the surface to increase well injection capacity and long-term profitability.I also shift elements of the reservoir experience to help cavern operators ensure fluid containment, cavern operational performance, and asset longevity/reliability. Working on sustainable well-designs is one of my specialties with a track record of success in ensuring safety for the environment and the public.A few notable wins I have had with this approach include:✔️ Kakwa, AB - Newly drilled wells into the Leduc formation continue to be injecting produced water at a rate of 2-5 times more than offset wells in the same reservoir. This is due to the drilling/completion design and surface treatment strategy for water being injected.✔️Lindbergh, AB - Worked with team to design and construct wells that have been tested to CSA Z341 standards for storage. The caverns can be used for storage or waste disposal after completing the nitrogen MIT test.✔️Injection Facilities in BC, AB & SK - Worked with operations teams to present information about processes that were damaging disposal wells. Provided solutions to reduce well intervention requirements, increase injection capability and asset life.Currently, I am helping forward-thinking companies achieve the next level of profitability for their disposal well or cavern assets. If you’d like to connect, I'd be happy to have a coffee chat in Calgary, AB, or via Zoom.Areas of Expertise New Business Development ♦ Project Management ♦ Problem Solving ♦ Planning and Analysis ♦ Drilling & Completions ♦ Production & Disposal Operations ♦ Cavern Operations ♦ Asset Management ♦ Long Term Planning ♦ Strategic Asset Development ♦ Partnerships and Relationship Management
