 Knowledge in diesel emission strategies of advanced exhaust gas re-circulation and selective catalytic reduction. Configured trucks powertrain hardware (engine output, transmission, tire rev and rear axle ratio) and programmable parameters (progressive shift, gear down protection and idle shutdown) to optimize the truck for customer’s duty cycle, performance and fuel economy needs/requirements. Performance Engineering representative for Ryder, Celadon, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Maxim Transport, Indian River and Western Express. Tested new engine and transmission calibrations during week long ride and drive from Chicago to Denver and back, with the goal of evaluating 13, 16 and 18 speed transmissions for shift quality, feel, drivability and NVH. Selected by Chief Engineer to be a representative for Performance Engineering on the Fuel Economy Center of Excellent Board (8 members), which met monthly with the Director of Performance Integration. Began managing 8D (problem solving tools/teams) for winter fuel economy degradation and year over year degradation Oversaw the systems and subsystems signoffs on Program 726 ISX Design Validation vehicles (mule builds). Ran Ok To Test (OKTT) on DV vehicles, which covered truck pedigree, test procedure, cost, expected results and timing with system representative (thermal, chassis, electrical, body and powertrain) Managed all electrical validation on 5900/9900 truck platforms, Cold Starting, 9 gallon Diesel Exhaust Fluid Tank and Head Unit validation, Multi-Axis Shaker Table and Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning. This involved maintaining test schedules, truck location, working with the systems engineer to confirm test met requirements and ensuring all tests would be completed and passed by preliminary engineering sign-off.

 Performed weight distribution calculations for dissembled HP and LP turbine section laydown to minimize the duration of a planned turbine overhaul outage.  Designer on Consumers Energy Coal and Northern Lights Combustion Turbine Power Generation Projects. Responsibilities included calculating forces of components, developing plant general arrangements, inserting external reference files and creating system P&IDs. Procurement engineer for the EPCOR Cloverbar Units 2 & 3 Combustion Turbine Project. Responsibilities included evaluating valve contract bids for code and bid specification compliance, selection of the valve supplier and managing the supplier to ensure that the correct quantity and type of valves were shipped on schedule. Coordinated with engineering, the supplier and site construction staff. Contract value was $40,000. Lead CAD designer for University of Michigan power house retrofit projects. Worked with engineers to create as–built P&IDs of the power plant systems, managing the work of other drafters, and created a new pump and valve labeling system that made it easier for plant operators to locate the correct valve or pump. CAD designer for Dallman Unit 4 200 MW Pulverized Coal plant design in Springfield Illinois. Responsibilities included developing plant general arrangements and coordinating with other disciplines to develop complete elevations and 3-D models.
