A Riordan Leadership Institute Fellow and proud Los Angeles native, he brings a deep connection and the lived experiences of his community into his work.As a former educator and first-generation college student, Daniel's professional career is driven by his pursuit of equitable access to funding, education, and workforce opportunities for excluded groups in CA. His personal interests include his love for listening to and playing music, travel, and his quest to make traditional Mexican dishes his Grandma would approve of. With a strong background in leading complex projects like state-wide grantmaking initiatives, launching and monitoring comprehensive standards-based academic programs, and working with school district leadership and corporate donors to develop multi-year impact investment plans. At the end of the day, Daniel is passionate about developing people, building winning teams, and guiding projects with care to deliver meaningful impact and results for all stakeholders. He is interested in people-first organizations that are proactive, making a significant impact, and are tired of the status quo.
