As a partner in Taft’s Litigation and Environmental practice groups, I concentrate my practice in the fields of commercial, civil, and environmental litigation. Clients of all sizes rely on my extensive knowledge and understanding of the courts to successfully navigate client matters at critical times of need. I have experience in all aspects of litigation, and have represented clients in both state and federal court in cases involving complex business, construction, environmental, and probate litigation matters. I'm responsive to client needs and work hard to minimize the risks and exposure of doing business in today's litigious world. I've been recognized as "Ones to Watch" by Best Lawyers®, and a “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers® for my work in commercial litigation and environmental law. I was also named an Up and Coming Leader in the Law by the Indianapolis Business Journal's Indiana Lawyer for my contributions to legal and nonprofit organizations.I'm also no stranger to compliance issues. I've got significant experience guiding clients on environmental compliance matters involving state and federal environmental laws (e.g., RCRA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, Indiana’s ELA, and CERCLA), issues pertaining to the transfer of contaminated or potentially contaminated property, and assisting in the recovery of insurance when issues of environmental legal liability arise. I utilize my litigation skills to assist my clients in defending enforcement actions, responding to agency requests, and other administrative disputes, including representing clients in permitting appeals.I'm also frequent author and presenter on a wide range of litigation and environmental topics.
