One of my defining characteristics is pride in my military service. Once I turned 17, I joined the Army National Guard in hopes of serving my country and gaining valuable experience. Since then, I have gone on one deployment to the Middle East in which I played a vital asset to our operations and gained a lot of experience. During my time in service, I have focused much of my effort on gaining a college degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology. This is in the hopes of using my experience in the military on the civilian side. I believe I would be able to contribute greatly towards the goal of a safer society. As well as the goal of improving policing around the country.I have also had the opportunity to go Europe as an intern for the European Parliament. This was a great experience for me because of the people I met, the culture I experienced, and the different perspectives that I gained.
