I was born and raised in the city of Hickory, North Carolina. From a young age I was always interested in the outdoors, as my family lived in a very forested area. I joined Cub Scouts in 1st Grade and stayed with it until I achieved the Eagle Scout award and I aged out at 18.Growing up, I have always had a love for all arts, but especially music. I have played multiple instruments through school, and played bass drum in the NC State marching band for two years.Through my love of the outdoors, I discovered a more intense love for animals. I enrolled in the Zoology program at NC State and graduated with that degree in 2020.I worked at a grocery store chain named Food Lion as an assistant market manager during my final year of college and for another year after graduating before landing a job at UNC Chapel Hill. There I worked as a Cage Technician in the Department of Comparative Medicine. I worked at UNC for about a year before a friend told me about an opening at his job as a Technical Support Specialist with Grifols. I started there in August of 2022 and am currently still working.Through all of these jobs I have learned excellent customer service skills, from leaving a customer satisfied and feeling important to de-escalation tactics. I have also discovered a fondness for troubleshooting with my time at UNC and Grifols. Working with complicated machines is never easy, so it feels nice to get to the bottom of a problem and make someone's day easier in the process.I am constantly searching for challenging and satisfying work. If I feel that anything can scratch that itch, you can find me diving headfirst.
