I'm a 27-year-old from the small town of Kin Kin. Where I grew up roaming the bushes and streets until random hours of the night. I've always watched movies from a young age and enjoyed being able to recognize an array of faces and scenes and put them to certain movies and whatnot. By the age of 13 I had already experienced some adult situations and that somewhat links to the dark side of the internet in which I perused some very deranged things, which is why I love horror so much now. I started writing all through school but I found an interest in writing horror and using the things I watched to morph into very dark stuff. Through my university studies, I have found that most genres appeal to me in a writing sense and the more I practice the better I'll be. On the other hand, I found a happy medium in writing love stories because I like to believe I have an understanding of what love is and what it can do for people and is important to share with others.I have recently completed my university degree in Creative Writing at the Univesity of the Sunshine Coast which so far has been amazing for increasing and establishing my writing skills. My goal is to publish a book or two by the end of my degree. Through my degree, I've found that I love writing YA and Thrillers with realism tropes, alongside having an interest in poetry. I also enjoy writing romance stories and always have ideas flowing, most of the time I squander them when I should be writing the ideas down and using them for future use. My aim for the future is to be a freelance author writing YA or thriller novels, maybe even romance but I would be happy to write and attempt many genres. Completing my bachelor's degree is priority number one as it would grant me the ability to successfully write stories and therefore be a successful writer, along with making lasting connections and collaborating with likeminded writers.
