I am CPR/First Aid certified and have a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit & Child Development Master Teacher Permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I have worked with severely impaired behavior students for 4+ years at Providencia. I help assist students by providing proper emotional support and general guidance in the school setting. I also have experience in taking data for behavior students. Observe and control students' behavior according to approved behavior management and crisis intervention techniques and strategies; report student performance and behavior progress. Help social-emotional students stay on track with an eating disorder or school work. Confer with teachers, school nurses, and supervisors concerning programs, health care services, and materials to meet student needs. Participate in meetings and in-service training programs as assigned. Under the direction of the School Nurse, perform specialized physical health care services such as, but not limited to, suctioning, gastrostomy tube feeding, catheterization, oxygen administration, care of related equipment, and administering medication as directed. Provide primary emergency care as needed, including, but not limited to, first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, or other life-sustaining efforts until medical assistance arrives. Observe and control students' behavior according to approved behavior management and crisis. Complete written accident or incident reports as needed. Intervention techniques and strategies; report progress regarding student performance and behavior.
