Responsible for providing companionship to geriatric patients. Tasks include: medication reminders, medication distribution, extensive housekeeping, assist with clients showering & dressing. Provide companionship to patients with specific needs including: Alzheimer's, Brain Injury Dementia, and Alcohol Dependency Syndrome

Work with patients who require assistance to perform even the most basic tasks. Feed, bathe or move patients. Helped reposition bedridden patients so they do not develop bedsores as well assist patients who need assistance going to the bathroom. In addition to helping patients care for themselves, nursing aides provide very basic medical care. Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse and temperature. Report any irregularities in vital signs or health concerns expressed by patients to supervising nurses or doctors. Administer medication to patients and residents. Maintain cleanliness to a certain extent while on the job. Remove soiled bedpans; sweep and wipe down furniture; and change bedding.
