While at HealthEdge, I created, built and managed the company’s world-class professional services team, successfully implementing the award-winning HealthRules platform. I was then promoted into several executive-level roles within the company’s sales and business development areas, including leading the company’s account management and client relations functions, as well as building and running channel partner engagement.

NaviNet was founded on the basis that America’s healthcare industry can be made more inclusive, transparent and cost-effective by connecting providers, health plans and industry partners in real-time. Today, NaviNet is part of NantHealth and is America’s leading healthcare collaboration network connecting over 40 health plans and 60% of the nation’s physicians, which represents 450,000 clinical and administrative healthcare professionals.As the company's 5th employee, I was on the founding team that started and built the company. In addition, I co-invented United States Patent “System for Dynamic Information Exchange”, which would be the basis for what would become NaviNet. While at NaviNet, I was tasked with building a world-class services delivery organization, leading all technical sales activities and running a successful claim pre-processing P&L that delivered significant cost savings to health plans.

Healthsource, Inc., a fast-growing, stock market favorite, was founded by Dr. Norman C. Payson, a managed care visionary. Through its health plan subsidiaries, Healthsource covered 4.4 million lives and provided managed healthcare services and products throughout the Northeast and Southeast. Today, after being acquired, Healthsource operates as a subsidiary of Cigna Corporation.

Tufts Health Plan is a nationally recognized Massachusetts-based health plan. While at Tufts, I delivered information technology solutions during years of rapid growth, leading to one-million members and Newsweek ranking Tufts Health Plan a top HMO in the U.S. As a Programmer Analyst, I was one of the developers responsible for building the billing, capitation and utilization management components of the plan’s enterprise transaction system, which would survive for nearly two decades. As a Project Manager, and then serving the plan as Information Systems Director, I managed IT projects that enabled growth and scale. Notable accolades in this capacity included Harvard Business School award winning case installation re-engineering, the rollout of Preferred Provider Organization and Indemnity products, and the introduction of Secure Horizons®; Tufts Health Plan for Seniors (now Tufts Health Plan Medicare Preferred), the largest Medicare + Choice plan in eastern Massachusetts.
