As part of a two-person team, I was responsible for overseeing 300 staff and 250 clients approximately across NSW, Victoria and Queensland, in a full home care service to clients. • promoted the service to potential new clients and their families, by answering inquiries, asking detailed and personal questions to assess client’s level of need of service• compiled service information and forwarded documentation to potential clients• liaised with clients and carers on a regular basis to ensure that service plans outcomes are achieved • monitored and adjusted client’s service plans to ensure they continued to meet client’s requirements• rostered care staff with the appropriate aptitude, skills, experience, competence and compatibility to meet client’s needs• built and maintained professional relationships with clients, staff and referring organisations• recorded all contact with carers and clients on company database• researched and provided information to clients and their families where alternate services were requested• supported clients through complaints management processes, and resolved where appropriate • oversaw basic human resources processes, including job inquiries, and managed and coordinated timesheets to ensure correct and timely payroll processing• resolved urgent or complex situations where a client’s health and welfare could be at risk• participated in the afterhours /weekend on call supervision, making on-the-spot decisions with a high degree of independent judgement.
