Damaris Nelima holds a BSc. in Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics from Kenyatta University and a Master of Public Health degree from Moi University. She has hands on experience in managing patients, student training and assessment as well as research and consultancy.Damaris has held various leadership positions among them Nutrition officer in charge of two districts, Lecturer and Head of Department Community Nutrition at Great Lakes University of Kisumu and as a senior programme officer (Research Networks) at The Africa Early Childhood Network. Damaris has a passion in changing vulnerable peoples lives positively through impactful solutions developed with the people to address existing inequalities especially in the nutrition and health of children, adolescents and women. Research and networking is key element that she is keen to use for achieving this moreso at the policy formulation and implementation level.
