Rhondda Cynon Taf Council has announced plans for a multi-million pound Eco Park development at its Bryn Pica Waste Management Facility – which would be the first of its kind in the UK.The facility in Llwydcoed provides recycling services for the County Borough’s residents and businesses, and the Council has ambitious plans to build a self-sustainable Eco Park there. Based on the notion of circular economy, the Eco Park will help turn more rubbish into a resource by collecting and re-using waste materials produced on site. These materials will be reprocessed by companies invited to locate on the Eco Park. The facilities will benefit from Renewable energy – both heat and electrical - generated on the site.
