Continuing with my role at Capita and within the Capita dedicated corporate venturing unit, Capita Scaling Partner.

Responsible for a key client project, managing a consortium of suppliers and key partners based in Europe and Asia to deliver a ground breaking project in Indonesia covering 50 ha of built area and operational factory. Responsible for delivering the project through its early phase design and concept development, undertaking initial site surveys, and delivering a detailed engineering design and a readiness plan for project delivery. Including working frequently with core development team at Capita, subject matter specialists at Fera Sciences Ltd, Aalborg CSP, Millibeter, and CES as the main project team, as well as with client and key consortium managing partners throughout Europe, China and in Indonesia, and supporting key presentations to a number of organisations as part of the capital raise.

Established in 2016, the UK - Ghana Chamber of Commerce (UKGCC) was launched to facilitate and promote the ever increasing need for collaboration between SME’s and large multi-national corporations operating in the UK and Ghana. The UKGCC aims to act as a unique resource and robust organisation made up of local experts and professionals that will be the voice for British Businesses looking to access and engage with the Ghanaian market whilst providing assistance to Ghanaian companies investing in the UK.

Appointed to lead the delivery of a $175M healthcare infrastructure programme encompassing discrete projects including the construction of 7 district hospitals (each requiring 34 acres of built area), refurbishment of an existing major medical facility, rebuild of a medical & pharmaceutical grade national storage facility, installation of a wide range of medical equipment, delivery of a comprehensive clinical training package, installation of WAN based hospital management IT system, and implementation of a country wide pharmaceutical management system. Responsibilities include leadership of an integrated team of international and local Ghanaian sub-contractors and consultants, alongside the UK architectural and engineering design teams, at its peak consisting of 1,500 members across the 8 construction sites throughout the country and a main central office. Wider remit involves the frequent engagement and support to local communities, working with tribal and district authorities, and the management of a large, national workforce.

Employed within the CSC Global Business Solutions and Consultancy Services Division as a member of the CSC International and European Business Development team focused on carrying out full risk analysis for each opportunity covering the financial and feasibility elements of the projects to support large-scale, £100M+ outsourcing programmes. Wide ranging accountability over a 6-year tenure included; (i) acting as Pursuit Lead and Programme Manager responsible for managing a large bid team pursuing a specific £800M ITO and BPO opportunity (SPVA) in the UK public sector, (ii) leadership of the Global Business Solutions Bid Management and Sales Support team, specifically responsible for managing the team as a Centre of Excellence within CSC, and (iii) management and development of multiple new business opportunities (£50k - £500M) across new and existing accounts covering consultancy services, infrastructure services, business intelligence, applications management, software and enterprise management services.

Appointed in a Commercial and Project Management capacity, to lead the development, implementation and ongoing management of overseas government secure IT facilities. Remit included the development of commercial proposals and negotiations with suppliers and sub-contractors, management of the price and proposal management process, alongside hands on dispute management and contract negotiations with senior government officials. Specific area of expertise involved the delivery of solutions for passport issuing, national identification and registration schemes.

With responsibility as a disaster management specialist, involved in the development and publication of emergency plans, crisis operations and emergency responses for key clients.

Several appointments to Royal Navy warships in operational roles, including secondment with the Brazilian Navy. Operated throughout UK, the Middle East, East Africa, the Mediterranean and North America during 2003 and 2004, providing essential logistical support by leading and managing a team of 40 staff. Responsible for the control of budgets and an large inventory of stores and provisions, whilst providing a full range of legal, HR, catering and hotel services to 190 staff.
