I started out in the field of cookery, then with an urge to change, I developed further skills as a mechanic, working on small motors up to truck engines. As I expanded my career into food production I found that I possessed a perfect marriage of knowledge in food production and mechanics.Since then I have advanced in my active role to a high level of understanding in Arnott's stringent food production policies, procedures and processes.Coupled with a mechanical aptitude, it has greatly rewarded me with an ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with a quick and cost effective resolution benefiting the business, as well as I currently undertake many more tasks outside of my normal role, incorporating an understanding of engineering and implementing new technical equipment, including technical writing, work instruction development, training and assessment, SQF verification and records, and C.I. for the equipment.My role also includes a lot of project work, mainly based around C.I. in the reduction of consumer complaints, incorporating a lot of data collation, production analysis, trialing corrective actions and many recommended changes and implementations, all complimenting our G.M.P. policies, achieving many recorded notable outcomes.I am involved with internal audits, internal system audits, GMP audits, and several other procedural audits. Some of my methods have been incorporated into our audit techniques across the site.I tend to think well outside of the square, as well as keeping a sound foundation within the spectrum of Food Safety and Quality, and have always kept the drums sounding with new and creative ideas.I have just reached a ten year anniversary here at Arnott’s, and my zest to improve and better myself is still as positive as my first day. Self improvement has always been a big part of my work ethic and has not been unnoticed by gaining high praise from my managers and peers at every yearly review since my commencement here with Arnott’s. I continue to strive to add value to the team I work with and for the company.
