Damien was project manager for the EIAs and planning applications for three of the largest greenfield landfill sites developed in Ireland in the last 10 years namely: Bottlehill Residual Landfill, County Cork, Connaught Regional Landfill, County Galway and Drehid Waste Management Facility, County Kildare. He is also Project Director for a 360,000TPA Resource Recovery Project proposed for South County Dublin.He was also project manager for the preparation of the initial Waste Management Plans for both Cork County and Cork City and involved in the preparation of the first National Hazardous Waste Management Plan on behalf of the EPA. He has been involved in the formulation of a brief, tender documentation and assessment procedures for a PPP for a significant waste recovery facility on behalf of Cork County Council and Cork City Council. He has also managed a significant number of EIAs and planning applications for residential and retail developments on behalf of a variety of private clients.In the energy sector, Damien has been Project Director for the preparation of EIAs and planning applications for a number of developments including wind farms, waste to energy projects and has also been involved in a number of power line projects including the Kingscourt to Woodland, 400kV power line project on behalf of EirGrid. Damien has made numerous presentations to local authority officials and members and at various conferences with respect to waste management. He has been an expert witness at a number of EPA and An Bord Pleanála Oral Hearings.
