Australian fintech delivering exceptional digital health payments solutions; bringing simplicity and transparency to health quotations, claims and payments.During my time at Medipass we launched our healthcare provider platform as a new product & revenue driver alongside the Enterprise integrations that the business was founded on; addressing market launch, pricing, settlements and billing for this high volume/low value service, which consistently delivers >20% MoM growth.Alongside this we expanded into the UK, closed a funding (bridge) round and navigated COVID. Medipass completed a successful exit to Tyro Bank in 2021.

During my tenure we collectively grew the business between 10X to 20X on the most important value and impact metrics, effectively doubling in size annually on a compound basis.

Accountable for all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions globally; with a stakeholder base of >20,000 educators at 3,000+ schools, located in 147 countries.I achieved significant improvement in customer satisfaction and KPI scores; stabilizing process performance through discipline, governance, process development and stakeholder engagement. I delivered these outcomes with a team of 15 staff across 4 continents and a Sri Lanka based outsourced team of 30 people.

As a senior leadership team member and business partner to the UK Ambassador; I provided leadership across 6 business support functions (incl. finance, IT, HR, facilities, administration) with an overall team of 30 staff.I also led the design and implementation of a scalable centralized accounts payable model across South East Asia; which consolidated the transactions for 13 embassies in 9 countries into a single team in Singapore. The projects success realized headcount reductions of 80% through process improvement and standardization (with no capital investment). Geographical scope of my model has been expanded since 2012, with the same model now servicing 77 embassies in 44 countries from a single team.

During a time of significant uncertainty that ultimately led to divestment from the parent company, I served two critical interim functions:1. Stabilized financial operations of another group entity, within weeks of both the CFO and CEO resigning.2. Managed the entity cash flow back to a net positive position through tightening the financial control and governance environment; with a commercial approach that would not erode long term business value.

I built and managed the Middle East region’s local business support functions; delivering finance, human resources, information technology, facilities management and administration under a hybrid model of local talent and head office support.As the business partner to the Middle East Managing Director and accountable to the Australian head-office financial controller, I delivered the Middle East region’s financial reporting, performance analysis, and budget management; alongside supporting contract pricing and managing consultant’s billable utilisation.

I was responsible for the monthly consolidation and reporting of all group entities financial results to the UXC board and executive management, consisting of a performance flash report and a 50+ page full reporting pack; having successfully re-engineered this process to reduce reporting time to the Board of Directors by 50%.My role also included leading the corporate office finance function, the centralised group treasury operations and the group financial reporting system (Hyperion)

I was responsible for all operational finance activities and management reporting to the senior management team, as well as UXC (parent company). This includes all transaction processing, monthly close and reconciliations, daily cash flow management and monthly rolling cash forecasts, budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis reports.I had an active business partnering role with the sales team, managing their weekly opportunity pipeline forecasts and modelling complex deal pricing; as well as with the project delivery team to ensure revenue recognition and WIP on the 50+ monthly active projects was in line with accounting standards and group policy.

Through close mentorship from the finance manager, I developed depth & breadth in my technical accounting skills; which led to my promotion to Accountant and my appointment to the Australian Olympic Team in 2000.I drove completion of monthly accounts to trial balance & production of monthly reporting alongside having financial/commercial involvement with business improvement projects.As the Australian olympic team finance officer, I was resident in the Olympic village during the Sydney 2000 games to provide operational support and own all financial related matters associated with the Australian athletes during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
